Action from the Wild West by Harry Bishop
Marshal Matt Dillon is in charge of Dodge City, a rough and tumble town in the wild west. Dillon deals on a daily basis with the problems associated with frontier life: cattle rustling, gunfights, brawls, standover tactics, and land fraud. Such situations call for sound judgement and brave actions: of which Marshal Dillon has plenty!
Based on the CBS TV series Gunsmoke, starring James Arness as Marshal Matt Dillon,
British Cartoonists Award winner, 1965, Harry Bishop wrote and drew Gun Law from 1957 until it finished in British newspaper, The Express in 1975. In this year Bishop was awarded Best Dramatic Strip Cartoonist from the Cartoonists’ Club of Great Britain for his work on the strip.
