Alan Shuker
Alan Shuker is a New Zealand-based puzzle compiler.
Originally from Shropshire, he divides his time each year between Raumati Beach, New Zealand and Cambridge, England.
With a language background in the computer field and freelance writing, Alan has been a full-time puzzle compiler since 1984.
Alan's wife Deborah and adult children Simon, Karen and Christine are
also involved in the family puzzle business, and between them, the Shukers
produce about 40 puzzles every week.
Their crosswords and other puzzles, including the Daily Mail's popular
Codeword, appear in various publications throughout New Zealand, the UK,
Ireland and many countries around the world.
