Albert Herbert Hawkins

The only child of Mr. and Mrs Hawkins of Chestnut Drive, Albert was born naughty and has remaind so ever since. Nine years of age, he attends Saint Mary's Mixed Infants School, and is admired by the other pupils for his total lack of respect.


Naughty but in the nicest possible way (he will walk on the grass in spite of notices to the contrary), he flauts authority whenever that creature raises its ugly head. The scourge of baby sitters, he fights an ever increasing battle to stay up late.
His closest friend and confidant, Charlotte, aged ten, is far more practical, even though hers is the world of pop and modern living.

Her younger brother, Willie, aged two, is an Albert Herbert Hawkins groupie.
Albert's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins, despair....
