A systems programmer with IBM, married with two children. A bridge Grandmaster
and has represented England at International level. He has written 34 books
on bridge, 20 of them co-authored by the late Terence Reese. He is bridge
correspondent for the MAIL ON SUNDAY and the LONDON EVENING STANDARD.
He writes regularly for all the world’s top language bridge magazines:
BRIDGE MAGAZINE, INTERNATIONAL POPULAR BRIDGE MONTHLY, ENGLISH BRIDGE,
AMERICAN CONTRACT BRIDGE BULLETIN, BRIDGE WORLD USA, AUSTRALIAN BRIDGE.
He is best known for his humorous bridge fiction, in particular the
adventures of the bridge-playing monks of the St Titus monastery,
headed by the notorious
Abbot. These stories have been translated into several languages.TB/GM
